The Heart of Our Matcha: A Farmer’s Love and Legacy!!

In the hills of Uji, Mr. Tanaka is not only a tea farmer but also the father of three orphaned children. Years ago, he found little Haruto, Aiko, and Yuki living on the streets, abandoned and struggling. Without a second thought, Mr. Tanaka brought them back to his farm, giving them the family and care they had lost. Mr. Tanaka taught them not only how to cultivate tea but also the values of love and responsibility. He often said, "Just like we shade our tea plants 30% longer to enhance their sweetness, we must nurture life with patience and care." Every spring, they would harvest together, but only within the first 10 days, when the leaves are at their freshest and most tender. This special timing, combined with the extended shading, brings out the finest matcha—smooth, sweet, and with no bitterness.Today, the children are all grown up—Haruto is a tea expert, Aiko is a doctor, and Yuki has taken over the farm. Through his love for both tea and the children, Mr. Tanaka has not only preserved the legacy of the farm but has also created new futures for them. At T% Matcha, we don’t just carry on the craft of tea; we pass on the power of love. Our farmers are not just keepers of the land—they are nurturers of hearts. Each cup of T% matcha tells a story of resilience, hope, and love.
